Job summary

Northwards Ltd is seeking a Class 1 Nightshift HGV Driver for a 4-day week (Mon-Thu) at the Cumbernauld depot. You will drive, load, secure freight, and liaise with the Transport Office to ensure timely deliveries across Scotland, including marine and agricultural cargo.

The role emphasizes safety with daily vehicle checks and adherence to schedules, offering a competitive salary and pension benefits. Training is provided for various vehicle types when required.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 entitlement.
• CPC qualification and valid tachograph/card.
• Ability to perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Experience with loading and securing cargo for transport.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily vehicle and trailer checks and report defects.
• Load and secure freight onto vehicles.
• Coordinate with Transport Office to plan movements across Scotland.
• Deliver goods to customers in Scotland as part of daily routes.
