Job summary

Bullet Express Nightshift Forklift Driver at Baillieston depot is sought for a hands-on role in a fast-paced transport and logistics environment. Working 9:00pm–6:00am, you will unload, organise and dispatch freight, ensuring trailers turn around quickly and safely.

The role requires a valid forklift licence and proven forklift experience; training is provided for scanners, and you will join a reliable nightshift team committed to accuracy and on-time dispatch.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift licence required and forklift operating experience.
• Experience with handheld scanners is advantageous but training provided.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers and vehicles using a forklift.
• Move and organise palletised freight within the warehouse.
• Scan freight accurately as it moves through the warehouse.
• Ensure freight is in the correct area for onward dispatch.
• Assist with quick turnaround of trailers and containers.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.

Hours: 9:00pm – 6:00am
Hours per Week: 36 hours – 4 nights per week
Pay: £16.66 per hour
Weekend Allowance: £48 for each complete weekend worked

Bullet Express is looking for an experienced and reliable Nightshift Forklift Driver to join our busy warehouse operation at our Baillieston depot.

This is a hands‑on role working within a fast‑paced transport and logistics environment, where the efficient turnaround of trailers and vehicles is essential.

The successful candidate will work closely with the wider warehouse team to ensure freight is unloaded, organised, scanned and reloaded quickly, safely and accurately, allowing vehicles to be dispatched on time.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

• Loading and unloading trailers and vehicles using a forklift.
• Moving and organising palletised freight throughout the warehouse.
• Scanning freight accurately as it moves through the warehouse.
• Ensuring freight is placed in the correct areas ready for onward dispatch.
• Assisting with the quick turnaround of incoming and outgoing trailers.
• Ensuring vehicles are loaded accurately and ready for dispatch on time.
• Assisting with the handballing of boxes and loose freight when required.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties as required.
• Working closely with the rest of the nightshift team to keep the operation running efficiently.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.

• Is willing to get involved and assist the wider warehouse team when needed.
• Has a reasonable level of physical fitness, as the role will involve lifting and handling boxes and freight.

Experience

Previous experience working within a transport, pallet network or fast-paced warehouse environment would be beneficial.

Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse scanning systems would also be an advantage; however, this is not essential as full training will be provided.

A valid forklift licence and previous forklift operating experience are required.

9:00pm – 6:00am

9-hour shifts

36 hours per week

£16.66 per hour

£48 weekend allowance for each complete weekend worked

Basic annual pay: approximately £31,184

Potential annual earnings including 52 complete weekend allowances: approximately £33,680

The weekend allowance is payable when the complete weekend shift requirement is worked.

The Role

The Nightshift Forklift Driver plays an important part in ensuring the smooth running of our night operation.

You will help the warehouse team achieve quick trailer turnaround times and the accurate, successful and timely dispatch of vehicles, ensuring freight continues moving through the network efficiently.
