Job summary

FirstGroup plc is seeking an Automotive Electrician for night shift at Glasgow Caledonia Depot. The role involves diagnosing electrical faults, repairing and replacing parts, and carrying out electrical testing with strict health and safety compliance.

The position offers a nightshift pattern (8pm–6am) with a £2,000 joining bonus and scheduled pay increases, plus opportunities for progression within a major UK transport group.

Qualifications

• SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in vehicle maintenance & repair with focus on electrics.
• Experience with HGV or PSV is beneficial.
• Must have a valid UK driving licence.
• Attention to detail and passion for mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs on vehicles.
• Replace parts as needed and perform installations and routine inspections.
• Conduct scheduled electrical testing and preventative maintenance.
• Document work accurately in line with regulations and health & safety standards.
