Job description

Job Title: Night Support Worker - Young Adult - Residential

Location: Meldreth, Hertfordshire

Salary: £12.87 ph to £14.03 ph (linked to competency and qualifications) + a night supplement of £25 per night shift worked PLUS £1500 WELCOME BONUS*

Annual Salary: £31,503.50- £33,914.53 per year for a 40 hour week

Hours: 40 hours per week (part-time hours available, minimum 24hrs per week)

Training: Full training provided and once passed probation we will support and fund studying the Level 3 diploma in Health and Social Care

We are currently looking for an experienced Night Support Workers in Meldreth, Nr. Royston (South Cambridgeshire / North Hertfordshire border) to join an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities based in Meldreth, Hertfordshire.

The role:

• Providing exceptional high levels of care during all daily activities such as washing, dressing, socialising, learning, washing/personal care.
• Assisting with therapy sessions such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.
• Communicating effectively and building strong relationships that will empower the children and young adults are free to grow and develop
• Ensuring that the environment is safe, supportive and enjoyable
• Helping develop their learning and social skills wherever possible

Experience /Qualifications:

• If you do not already hold a qualification, willingness to work towards achieving Level 3 Diploma HSC (funded by our client).
• A robust, positive and creative approach in meeting the needs of children and young adults.
• Good interpersonal, communication and team working skills.
• High level of resilience and patience
• The ability to follow personal care routines
• The ability to work within a rota pattern that typically requires working every other weekend.
