Unite Group, operating Unite Students and Hello Student, is hiring a Student Safety Team Member for night shifts in Manchester. You will welcome residents, handle enquiries, support check-ins and viewings, and help maintain a safe, vibrant student community across the property.

Ideal candidates bring customer service experience, strong communication, and a proactive, team-focused mindset to a busy on-site environment. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail or residential environment.
• Enjoy delivering great customer experiences.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Confident handling enquiries, complaints and resident requests.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly face-to-face customer service to residents and visitors.
• Support the full resident journey including check-ins and viewings.
• Deliver property viewings and support bookings to drive occupancy.
• Support resident engagement activities and create a welcoming community.
• Respond to maintenance issues and raise requests for resolution.
• Carry out building checks and support safety procedures.
• Assist with emergency response procedures when required.
• Maintain high property standards in communal areas.
• Record enquiries and issues in internal systems.

Student Safety Team Member-Nights

As a Student Safety Team Member, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming, safe and engaging environment for our residents and visitors.

Working as part of the property team, you'll be the friendly face of the building- supporting residents, responding to enquiries, and helping ensure everything runs smoothly day to day. From check-ins and viewings to resolving issues and supporting events, you'll be central to delivering a great resident experience.

This is a varied, people-focused role where no two days are the same, and where your work helps create a vibrant and supportive student community.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, face-to-face customer service to residents and visitors, responding to enquiries and resolving issues
• Support the full resident journey, including check-ins, check-outs and day-to-day resident support
• Deliver property viewings and support bookings, helping drive occupancy and retentionSupport resident engagement activities, helping create a welcoming and vibrant community
• Respond to maintenance issues, making safe where required and raising requests for resolution
• Carry out building checks and support safety procedures, ensuring the property remains safe and compliant
• Support emergency response procedures when required
• Maintain high property standards, ensuring communal areas are clean, safe and well presented
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Record enquiries, cases and operational issues accurately within internal systems

Your background

You don't need to follow a traditional path - what matters most is your passion for customer service and your ability to connect with people.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will

• Have experience in a customer service, hospitality, retail or residential environment.
• Enjoy working with people and delivering great customer experiences.
• Have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Be proactive, organised and comfortable working in a busy and varied environment.
• Be confident handling enquiries, complaints and resident requests.
• Enjoy working as part of a team and supporting colleagues when needed.
• Experience in student accommodation, hospitality or residential environments would be beneficial but isn't essential.
