Overview

We have a vacancy for a Maintenance Fitter to join our client’s team. This essential role ensures that the plant runs smoothly, and downtime is minimized. We are seeking a proactive, adaptable, and efficient Maintenance Fitter with a strong background in heavy plant maintenance. The right candidate needs to also be able to operate plant machinery such as 360 and Shovel.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on heavy plant equipment.
• Ensure the smooth operation of motors, conveyors, and gearboxes.
• Conduct MIG welding and fabrication tasks as required.
• Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical issues promptly.
• Work collaboratively within a small team to achieve operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
• Follow health and safety protocols at all times.
• Operate 360 and a Shovel.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter, specifically in heavy plant environments.
• Proficiency in MIG welding and fabricating.
• Experience with maintaining motors, conveyors, and gearboxes.

Hours of Work

4 on 4 off Night Shift. Additional hours as required to meet business needs.

Compensation

£14.00 to £16.00 per hour plus £2 working on Night Shift.
