Job Description:

Elevation have the pleasure of working with an building insulation manufacturing company based in the Leeds area, who are looking to recruit an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their Nights Team with immediate effect!

Location: Sherburn in Elmet

Hours: Sunday to Thursday Nights- 39 hours

Duties of a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer:

  • General maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment from an electrical and mechanical perspective
  • Attending to breakdowns
  • Working on bespoke manufacturing machinery including pumps, valves, flow meters, wrapping machines, pick and place machines, extruders and laminators
  • Help to develop and complete PPM’s regularly to minimise downtime
  • Fault finding on PLC’s such as Siemans
  • Liase with other departments regarding breakdowns and changes
  • Working within a team environment
  • Continuously follow health and safety regulations

Desired experience:

  • You must have at least Level 3 or above in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (City and Guilds or NVQ based) or have sound knowledge in this area
  • Must have experience of working within a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer role previously
  • It would be advantageous for you to have HNC and HND qualifications but not essential
  • Have sound electrical and mechanical knowledge as will be tested at interview stage
  • Ideally have 18th edition but not essential
  • Must have PLC experience – Fault finding not programming
  • Have experience of Fault finding and reading drawings within previous roles.
  • Ideally have manufacturing experience from an engineering perspective
  • Great communication skills (reading and spoken English is Essential)
  • Ideally have a recognised health and safety qualification, however this is not essential
