Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £47,516.01

Shift: MON - FRI NIGHTS - 10PM -6AM

Location: Perry Barr

We are recruiting for a market leading processing business who have an opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team at their fully automated factory in Perry Barr. The ideal candidate will be from a factory / manufacturing background, multi-skilled, with a mechanical or electrical bias, and hold an engineering qualification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure all equipment runs efficiently and reliably.
  • Liaise with external contractors to coordinate maintenance and repair activities.
  • Review and update maintenance schedules on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives and create pre-planned maintenance schedules for the automated facility.
  • Deputise for the engineering manager as needed and mentor junior members of the technical team.
Requirements:
  • Engineering qualification.
  • Multi-skilled maintenance engineer with electrical or mechanical bias.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to diagnose faults and repair equipment.
