Job description

Pertemps is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced FLM to join their growing warehouse team.

The position is based in Stafford ST18.

Reporting into the Shift Manager.

Night shift - Sunday to Thursday 22:00-06:00

Night pay - £16.15 per hour

As a FLM, you will:
  1. Support the Shift Manager to achieve an efficient and effective operation, meeting goals and objectives.
  2. Work for continuous improvement in line with H&S guidelines and site procedures and processes.
  3. Plan, manage, and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
  4. Direct daily activities to ensure a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for team members.
  5. Facilitate effective communication and relationships both inter-shift and with other departmental functions.
  6. Reduce costs by effective management of hours and work at all times.
  7. Maintain personal hygiene and appearance to a professional and acceptable standard at all times.
  8. Ensure effective control of MHE usage to minimize damage, providing evidence of spot checks.
  9. Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in ecommerce.
  10. Collaborate with other DHL sites to maximize efficiencies and share best practices.
  11. Communicate, apply, and enforce company policies.
  12. Organize and lead initiatives to improve productivity using coaching and mentoring skills.
  13. Contribute to the site’s continuous improvement agenda.
The ideal FLM will have the following skills and experience:
  • Experience with PI and CI methodologies.
  • Ability to prepare KPI reports and ensure accurate reporting to the Contract General Manager.
  • Team management skills.
  • Experience in staff management, including discipline, performance measures, workload coordination, and hygiene management.

Warehouse experience is preferred.
