Job summary

Prestige Nursing & Care is seeking a Complex Care Assistant for night shifts in Somerton/Taunton area to support a young man in Crewkerne. You will provide waking night support, help with bedtime and morning routines, assist with personal care and monitor wellbeing overnight, including BiPAP use and seizures. Comprehensive training provided.

The role offers weekly pay, paid travel time, shadow shifts, DBS check, and ongoing professional development within a supportive branch.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months’ paid care experience.
• Caring, compassionate and reliable nature.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering person-centred care.
• Good professional and personal references.
• Driving licence is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide waking night support and observation.
• Assist with bedtime and morning routines.
• Assist with personal care and monitor wellbeing overnight.
• Support safe use of BiPAP machine and respond to seizures.
• Maintain dignity, comfort and wellbeing at all times.
• Build trusting relationships with client and family.
