Job summary

Parkside House Care Home in Reading is hiring a Care Assistant for night shifts. You will support residents with personal care, meals, and activities, while helping maintain safety and dignity throughout the night.

The role involves observing residents, recording changes, and working closely with the care team to deliver person-centred care. A Health and Social Care qualification is desirable, and experience in care homes is valued.

Qualifications

• Motivation, positivity and interpersonal skills required.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: care home experience or Health & Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with companionship and personal care.
• Observe and report changes in residents' behaviour and care needs.
• Assist with nutrition and hydration according to each care plan.
• Provide stimulation through social and recreational activities, individually or in groups.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory requirements.
