Job summary

W Talent is recruiting a Night Warehouse Supervisor at our Chesterfield site to lead a small warehouse team, ensuring accurate deliveries and high customer service levels. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to maintain safety, efficiency and on-time performance.

The role requires a minimum of two years in a warehouse supervisor role within manufacturing, strong organisational skills and a proactive, self-motivated mindset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a small team of warehouse employees.
• Promote a positive working culture where colleagues are treated with dignity and respect.
• Maintain and update the shift log daily to ensure accurate records of colleague working hours.
• Respond effectively to changing priorities and tight deadlines within the warehouse team.
• Determine staffing levels and allocate workloads accordingly.
• Conduct return-to-work interviews, ensure absence reporting procedures are followed, and identify absence triggers.
• Pick orders using a forklift truck or powered pallet truck.
• Load and unload containers and deliveries, including manual handling where required.
• Use scanners for picking customer orders and locating stock.
• Accurately locate stock and check deliveries.
• Ensure production requests are actioned promptly and escape any delays to the Warehouse Manager.

Warehouse Supervisor

W Talent is delighted to be working with a well-established manufacturing organisation who is seeking a new Night Warehouse Supervisor to join the team. This is a key role within the dispatch function, responsible for delivering high levels of customer satisfaction while ensuring operational efficiency across the business.

The Role

As the Warehouse Supervisor based at the Chesterfield site you will report directly to the Warehouse Manager supporting the smooth running of daily warehouse operations. You will lead by example and ensure the quality and accuracy of deliveries, while maintaining excellent customer service standards. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to fulfil all aspects of the role, ensuring operational targets, safety standards, and service levels are consistently achieved.

Salary & Benefits

• Competitive salary £35,632
• Continental shift pattern: 3 nights on / 3 nights off (12-hour shifts).
• Rotating 6:00 pm - 6:00 am
• Overtime may be required to cover holidays or sickness.
