Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for a Warehouse Picker / Packer to join our client in Livingston for a 3-week nightshift assignment. The role involves picking and packing clothing orders using handheld scanners, with night shifts 22:00–06:00, Monday to Friday.

The assignment is temporary and full training with ongoing support is provided. Applicants must be available for the full 3 weeks; holidays cannot be taken during this period.

Warehouse Picker / Packer - Nightshift

Livingston

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Warehouse Picker / Packers to join our well-established client based in Livingston, starting in November.

This is a temporary opportunity for approximately 3 weeks, working a nightshift within a busy clothing warehouse. The role will involve picking and packing clothing items to customer orders using handheld scanners, so previous experience in a similar picking and packing warehouse environment is essential.

Please note: candidates must be available for the full 3-week assignment. No holidays can be accommodated during this period. Part-time and student applications will not be considered.

Shifts:

• Nightshift: 10:00pm - 6:00am
• Monday to Friday
• Starting November
• Approximately 3-week assignment

Rates of Pay:

£14.90 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a Warehouse Picker / Packer, your duties will include:

• Picking clothing items accurately against customer orders
• Packing completed orders ready for dispatch
• Using handheld scanners to locate and process stock
• Checking items and quantities against customer orders
• Ensuring orders are picked and packed accurately
• Replenishing stock as required
• Working to daily productivity targets and deadlines
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse
• Following all Health & Safety procedures

Essential Skills:

The skills required as a Warehouse Picker / Packer are:

• Previous picking and packing experience is essential
• Previous warehouse experience carrying out similar duties
• Previous experience using handheld scanners is essential
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to work at pace and met targets
• Reliable and punctual
• Physically fit and comfortable working on your feet
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Available for the full 3-week assignment
• No holidays during the assignment
• Full-time availability only - no students or part-time availability

Desirable Experience:

• Previous experience within clothing, retail distribution, e-commerce, order fulfilment or high-volume warehouse environments would be advantageous.

Training:

• Site assessment and training on the warehouse processes and handheld scanning system will be provided.
