Job description

IKEA Southampton are looking to welcome two Night Warehouse Inventory Assistants to join our hard-working fulfilment team.

As a member of the inventory team, we are counting on you to ensure that our signature range is always available for our customers to take home with them. If you're a night owl who relishes ending your workday while the rest of the world is just waking, then this position is ideal for you!

WHAT WE OFFER
  1. Competitive hourly rate of £12.60 per hour. Nightshift allowance of £2.25 an hour during hours that fall between 22:00pm and 06:00am.
  2. 30 hours a week, working between 03:00am and 09:00am, which includes weekends.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
  1. Previous inventory experience is preferred but not essential, all you will need is the motivation to make things happen in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  3. Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
  4. Proven experience in utilising computers and systems to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  5. Be self-reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
  6. Due to Health and Safety Regulations, all applicants must be over the age of 18.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
  1. Perform accurate counting and inventory duties to ensure stock is available for our customers.
  2. Contribute to the highest goods availability through accurate and on-time replenishment, using systems provided.
  3. Working with or around heavy machinery, such as forklift trucks and counterbalance and pump trucks to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
  4. Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
