Quokka Education is supporting an Outstanding day and residential special school for boys aged 10-16 with a range of needs, including ADHD, autism, and challenging behaviour.

We're looking for compassionate Night Waking Residential Child Care Workers to join their supportive residential team. This is a rewarding opportunity to help provide a safe, nurturing environment during the crucial overnight hours.

About the Role:

• Work overnight to ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils in residence
• Monitor sleeping children and respond appropriately to any needs that arise
• Carry out basic domestic duties and record-keeping as required overnight
• Maintain a calm, consistent, and reassuring presence for the children
• Support pupils in line with individual care plans and safeguarding protocols

Who We're Looking For:

• A patient, reliable, and caring individual with a genuine passion for supporting children
• Experience in residential or childcare settings is desirable
• A Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent) is preferred-but training can be provided for the right candidate
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a commitment to safeguarding
• Someone who is resilient, observant, and able to remain calm under pressure

• Contract Type: Part-time (minimum 2 nights, up to 4 nights per week)
