Night Veterinary Surgeon Vacancy

My client is seeking a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join their team in Bishop Auckland. They operate a fully functioning 24-hour hospital, and the successful candidate will work alongside an RVN and an Auxiliary nurse for a 13-hour shift. The practice has three sites across the area, with the candidate based at the hospital. The team comprises 18 vets across the locations, including certificate holders in Medicine and Surgery, and a colleague training towards an imaging Certificate.

Equipment includes:

• Digital X-ray
• High specification Ultrasonography
• Diagnostics
• Dental equipment
• Orthopaedic, Laparoscopic, and Endoscopy kits

All shifts are 13 hours, including dedicated handover time to the day team. The schedule involves working 5 consecutive shifts each month, with the remaining days off. Accommodation can be provided during your work period, which may appeal to those who prefer a 'fly in fly out' arrangement to travel the rest of the month.

Salary ranges from £45,000 to £65,000 (FTE), depending on experience.
