Job summary

LF&E Temperature Controlled Logistics is seeking a reliable Night Trunk Driver to operate a nightly route to Swadlincote, Derbyshire, delivering temperature‑controlled healthcare shipments for NHS and private partners.

The role involves loading at the local depot, driving a van to Swadlincote, unloading, and returning to base with packages sorted for onward deliveries. Overtime, pension, training, and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence with at least 3 years’ experience
• Reliable, flexible, professional and able to work nights
• Good knowledge of local routes and geography is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Sort and load fails/returns at the local depot for Swadlincote delivery
• Drive a van to Swadlincote depot and back
• Load sharps bins for transport and dispose of sharps on arrival
• Follow fails and returns procedures for ambient and chilled items
• Assist with sortation, final scanning and vehicle loading at Swadlincote
• Unload and sort packages into routes for network drivers on return
• Ensure operations meet safety, GDP, MHRA and legal standards
• Support warehouse ops when needed and maintain professionalism
