Job summary

LF&E Temperature Controlled Logistics is recruiting a reliable Class 2 Night Trunk Driver and Warehouse Operative to complete a nightly route to Swadlincote, Derbyshire, supporting our healthcare supply chain. The role covers loading, driving a van, unloading, and ensuring compliant handling of ambient and chilled items.

Shift is night-time, 45 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 20:30–05:30). DBS checks, driving licence verification and references are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for at least 3 years with no more than 6 points.
• Class 2 (Cat C) licence and valid CPC required.
• Reliable, flexible and professional with good geography and logical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Sort and load fails and returns at the local depot for delivery to Swadlincote CD.
• Drive a van to and from the Swadlincote depot.
• Load sharps bins at the local depot for transport to Swadlincote.
• Unload the vehicle at arrival and dispose of sharps bins correctly.
• Follow fails and returns procedure, handing over ambient and chilled items.
• Assist with sortation, final scanning and vehicle loading at Swadlincote.
• Unload on return to local depot and sort packages for network drivers.
• Ensure operations comply with safety, GDP, MHRA and legal standards.
