Kinaxia Warrington are recruiting a Transport Operator (Nights) to join their team at their site in Warrington. The role of the Transport Operator will be to execute the collection and delivery schedules via the most cost efficient and cost-effective means, in line with the business objectives, customer service levels and current legislative requirements.

Your knowledge and experience include Highway Code, tachographs, working time regs, and transport systems; you'll manage driver hours,

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of the Highway Code, EU tachograph requirements and Working Time Regulations.
• Experience with transport operation systems and logistics planning.
• Desirable geography awareness and health and safety regulation familiarity.

Responsabilités

• Utilise IT systems and vehicles to allocate drivers, vehicles, loads and back loads; communicate plans to customers.
• Ensure sufficient driver staffing levels at all times, including agency staff.
• Manage driver hours by authorising timesheets weekly.
• Track status of drivers/vehicles to keep collections/deliveries on target and inform delays.
• Deploy service recovery actions if a collection or delivery is at risk.
• Communicate with internal/external customers, load sheets, handovers and delays for smooth service.
• Work as part of a team; participate in cross-training for cover in colleagues' absence.
• Identify and drive continuous improvements to develop operations.
