Job summary

Superdrug is seeking a transport administrator/operator to join our busy transport team. You will be the first line contact for driving teams, help ensure deliveries run smoothly, and liaise with maintenance, stores and other support functions.

The role involves night shifts, and a strong focus on safety and accuracy. With 12 months transport-operations experience, you will handle telematics and TM systems when needed, and adapt to changing schedules while maintaining a high standard of health

Qualifications

• 12 months previous administrator or operator experience within a transport environment.
• Experience of Telematics and Transport Management Systems is advantageous.
• Flexible approach to additional duties within transport as requested by Line Manager.
• Attention to detail and a calm approach to transport challenges.
• Excellent time and attendance record and the ability to work on your own or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Full briefing and debriefing of driving teams to communicate vital information.
• Prepare store bags and update store instructions.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure smooth and timely operations.
• Ensure vehicles and trailers are road legal by following defect processes.
• Provide first line contact for driving teams on delivery queries, breakdowns, or emergencies.
• Engage with maintenance and breakdown services for breakdowns and recoveries.
• Provide first line contact with stores for schedule changes, delays, and failures.
• Support other transport functions, holiday and absence cover when required.
