We are looking for someone to join our amazing supported living team based in Northallerton on a Part time, permanent basis 20 & 30 hrs per week waking night. Shifts will be Monday to Friday, weekends and bank holidays.

Are you a caring & enthusiastic person? A music lover, have an interest in trains? If so, this might just be the role for you!

Supporting someone with their daily life is not a 9-5 job. You will need to be able to work across a range of different days and shift patterns, including some sleep in shifts.

We realise that your quality time is important too, so your rota is prepared well in advance Got a request, something special going on? Your manager will certainly try to help you meet it.

About Our Service

We support three active gentlemen aged between 60-68 who have a learning disability and are great friends. They all live independent, fun and active lifestyles. It is a busy home, from going on days out, train spotting, socialising, and seeing friends.

What does a Support Worker do?

  • Supporting people to live independently budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.
  • Excellent communication skills and Relationship building supporting the people we support to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
  • Community & Social Inclusion - supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and social events to promote life skills and individuality.
  • Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day. This may include prompting the people we support to take their medication and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom. Not all Support Worker roles include high levels of personal care.
  • All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
