Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking genuinely caring and hands-on Support Workers to help people gain more independence in daily life within a vibrant team in Nuneaton/Coventry area. You will assist with personal care, encourage community access and support people in social activities.

This role involves night shifts (9:30pm–7:30am wake nights) and requires resilience, flexibility and experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans to support individuals with various support needs and trauma histories.

Qualifications

• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Experience with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Teach life skills and assist with personal care to help people gain independence.
• Encourage access to local communities, socialise and participate in activities.
• Support individuals in outings to bars, pubs, films or cinema for social integration.
