Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals!

Mencap is seeking passionate Night Support Workers to join our team in Askern, Doncaster.

As a Night Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will work with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. Your role includes assisting with daily activities and providing emotional support, playing a vital part in their lives.

Our service supports individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health needs, and communication difficulties. Support Workers provide physical and emotional support, including assistance with personal care, medication, finances, activities, and helping individuals achieve their goals.

Qualities and Skills Required:

  • Relationship Building: Essential for gaining trust, establishing communication, and building relationships.
  • Patience and Understanding: Important for managing challenging situations effectively.
  • Conflict-Resolution Techniques: Necessary for managing and resolving conflicts constructively.

What we're looking for:

  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Enjoyment of interactivity with the people we support.

Contract options: Part-time only

Shift times:

  • 21:00 - 07:00
  • Must be flexible to cover weekends on a rota basis.
