Voyage Care in Torquay is seeking a caring Support Worker to help people gain more independence in their daily lives within a dynamic team. You will support individuals with daily activities, promote social engagement, and encourage community participation in a welcoming environment.

This role offers typical shifts including nights, with enhanced pay for evenings/weekends, overtime premiums, and access to Wagestream and other staff benefits to support personal and professional growth, under DBS

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; genuine caring attitude and a passion for helping others.
• Ability to work well in a team in a supported living setting.
• Commitment to safeguarding and DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks and personal care as needed.
• Support independence by teaching daily living skills and facilitating community access.
• Participate in activities and outings to promote engagement and wellbeing.

Job description

Support Worker - Torquay - £13.14 ph

Typical Shifts are:
Monday - Sunday 22:00 - 07:00 working 1 shift a week including alternate weekends

Our supported living service in Torquay is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You'll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.
