What makes Community Integrated Care a great place to work:
Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enrich the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.
Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to support based on the principles of choice, dignity, and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’. We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or been shortlisted for over national and regional awards! We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support, and in return, we invest in pay, recognition, wellbeing, and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support, and personal protective equipment you need in your role and help you develop if you wish to grow your career with us.
Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
Do you like to bake?
Are you a football fan?
Do you love music, going to gigs, and dancing?
If so, you might be a great fit for our team! In this role, you will support a young man who recently moved into temporary accommodation in Lomond Gardens, Inverness. He hopes to move into a permanent home soon and would love his team to accompany him! This gentleman struggles with his mental health, so understanding and positive people are needed to help him navigate his challenges and live a happy, fulfilling life. A background in supporting people with bipolar disorder and learning disabilities would be a huge bonus!
As a Support Worker, you will help him with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, managing finances, attending appointments, and shopping. Our waking night staff ensure he is safe overnight and has someone to talk to when needed.
He would love to meet people interested in his hobbies, like walking, going to the gym, football (he's a Manchester United fan), and singing karaoke. He is Christian, and his faith is important; supporting him to follow his faith is appreciated.
We are recruiting for Support Workers for waking night shifts from 8 pm to 8 am, including a 24-hour post (two night shifts per week). Applicants must be able to work shifts from Monday to Sunday; fixed days are not guaranteed.
