About The Job
Salary: £12.45 - £12.65 per hour (plus enhancements)
Enhancements: Weekend working - Time & a half, Bank Holidays - Double time & Night enhancement (8pm - 10pm shifts) *if applicable to the role
Working Pattern: Shifts on 4-week rotation (inclusive of evenings & weekends)
Contract Length: Part Time, 22.50 hours per week equating to a total of 90 hours per month *(the weekly hours may vary)

As a Night Support Worker, you will:
You will work as part of a team based within a residential setting. As a Night Support Worker, you will be required to provide safe, effective, and personalised support and care in supporting individuals to bed, getting up in the morning and responding to their emotional and physical wellbeing as required during the night.
This is an active role and there will be some requirements for moving and handling, for example, assisting people to walk, moving people between a wheelchair and chair using a hoist etc.
You will be required to be on duty for up to a 10-hour shift, during which time you are required to stay awake and able to provide appropriate care. There may be a need to work evenings or weekends to meet the needs of the service.
What you need to suceed
You'll need to demonstrate a basic understanding of working with people with learning disabilities, people with dementia and other cognitive impairments, and adults with physical and sensory impairments.

You'll be comfortable following basic procedures and clear instructions so that little close supervision is necessary, for example determining actions needed in accordance with provider plan or health and safety.
You'll have the ability to support people to grow in confidence, and a desire to develop their ability to do the things they want to. You'll have a good working knowledge of safeguarding and managing risks, and you'll be able to raise concerns in relation to individuals through recognising verbal, physical or behavioural changes and signs.
