Job Description:

We are searching for an organised and professional Night Supervisor to join our fantastic Front of House team at The Fish, one of the award-winning hotels here at Farncombe.

Our Night Supervisors are responsible for supporting the smooth running of overnight operations at The Fish Hotel, taking care of the logistics surrounding our guests' stays, ensuring overnight duties such as billing, tidying and re-stocking are sorted, as well as helping set up for breakfast. You may have to help with guest requests overnight and assist in some late bar service if needed.

The role is based in The Fish Hotel, where we offer just under 70 rooms throughout our luxurious yet rustic woodland setting, including treehouses, cabins, shepherds huts as well as more traditional hotel rooms. Our 4 AA red star luxury hotel also offers a seafood restaurant, delicious pizza menu and gorgeous lounge and bar spaces.

You will work 11pm to 7am, usually including weekends as this is our busiest time.

The ideal candidate for us:

  • An "all rounder" who enjoys hands on tasks and completing them to a very high standard
  • Friendly and helpful by nature
  • Organised and efficient, able to manage the night's workload
  • Able to be self motivated and proactive
  • A true team player, communicating clearly and professionally with everyone they encounter
  • Familiar with fire panels
  • First aid experienced/trained
  • High awareness of health and safety and security best practise
  • Holds a full, clean UK driving license as driving our estate vehicles forms part of this role

Our estate also includes the 5 AA red star Foxhill Manor and 4 AA red star Dormy House Hotel, and we can provide amazing opportunities for ambitious individuals to learn and develop their career.

We offer a salary of £30,576 per year plus a share of service charge, working 5 days out of 7 including weekend working. Uniform and meals on duty will be provided.

We also offer a raft of excellent benefits including:

  • 30 days holiday per year (rising to 35 after 5 years)
  • A celebration birthday lunch in one of the hotels, on us!
  • Access to onsite mental health first aiders, and an employee assistance programme from Hospitality Action
  • Free access to wellbeing resources - online exercise classes, mindfulness tools and nutritious recipes
  • Hundreds of High Street discounts and a cash back card via Hospitality Rewards
  • Estate discounts on dining, stays, wine, spa products and more
  • Be rewarded with £1000 to spend how you wish in our employee recognition programme
  • Up to £1000 when you successfully refer a friend to work with us
  • Premium payments for Christmas and New Year shifts
  • An optional, low cost healthcare cash plan
  • Free, in-person financial planning advice
  • Broad ranging careers in all the usual hotel departments and a few you wouldn’t expect…like our adventure team
  • Fully funded apprenticeship opportunities

Due to our rural location, you will require your own transport (WR12 7LJ). If this sounds like your ideal next move, and you would like to discuss this role or any other opportunities on our estate, please do get in touch! We look forward to hearing from you.
