Job summary

Waitrose & Partners in Longfield, Kent is seeking a Supermarket Assistant to help keep shelves full and serve customers with passion for food. You’ll stock replenish, fulfil online orders, and support the team across checkout and Click & Collect while upholding safety and store standards.

The role is part-time with varied night hours (21:00–07:00) and a starting rate of £13.00 per hour, increasing to £13.25 after 90 days, plus a night premium of £3.75 per hour for eligible hours.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team and with our customers.
• Experience in a customer facing role is welcomed.
• Up to date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to ensure the support of the whole branch.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver to customers' doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns.
• Working with the wider shop team to support checkout, Click & Collect and on-demand orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment and general shopkeeping tasks.
