Job summary

The Best Connection in Newton Aycliffe is hiring Warehouse Operatives / Parcel Sorters for a fast-paced parcel operation. You will load/unload parcels, scan with handheld scanners, and sort parcels as part of daily logistics.

This full-time role includes night shift 02:00–09:30, Sunday/Monday to Friday with optional Saturday, and overtime after 40 hours. Inductions start immediately; after 14 weeks, a permanent contract may be offered based on performance and attendance.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting.
• Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Reliable, punctual and hard-working with good attention to detail.
• Able to follow instructions and work well in a team.
• No previous warehouse experience required; full induction provided.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parcels from vans.
• Scan parcels using handheld scanners.
• Sort parcels accurately and efficiently.
• Place parcels into cages and move them to designated locations.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Follow health and safety procedures and work as part of a team.
