Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a proactive Driver Refueler to join our London maintenance team. The role centres on driving, refuelling and servicing trains at the North Pole Train Maintenance Centre on a rotating night shift, with a focus on safety and accuracy.

You will support the maintenance staff, record activities in MMS and SAP, and help ensure trains are available for service. Strong communication and adherence to procedures are essential to success in this busy depot environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering background knowledge preferred.
• Experience in maintenance environments is desirable.
• Familiarity with safety rules and procedures is expected.

Responsibilities

• Drive, refuel and service trains within the maintenance centre.
• Record servicing and fluids used in MMS.
• Monitor SAP to ensure work is recorded.
• Carry out daily checks and keep area tidy.
• Support maintenance staff with corrective and preventative maintenance.
• Contribute to development of MMS and ensure servicing is captured.
• Label and return materials to stores correctly.
• Follow lean principles and site rules.
• Ensure trains are available for service as required.
