Job summary

Sainsbury's is hiring a Trading Assistant for our Preston store. You will replenish shelves by collecting stock from the warehouse, assist customers with a friendly approach, and maintain product freshness through date-checks. You’ll work across the store, support deliveries when required, and learn our products to recommend great choices.

The role involves overnight shifts, a fast-paced environment, and opportunities to develop diverse store skills with comprehensive training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old for eligibility to work in the UK.
• Comfortable with physical tasks and shifts, including overnight work.

Responsibilities

• Collect stock from warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15kg) to replenish store shelves.
• Always ready to assist customers and answer questions during store hours.
• Date-check fresh produce and grocery items for quality and freshness.
• Help across the store and support with deliveries as needed.
• Build knowledge of products, services and promotions to offer recommendations.
