Job summary

Sainsbury’s is hiring a Trading Assistant in Weymouth to help keep shelves stocked and inviting. You’ll replenish stock, check dates on fresh produce, and assist customers with a friendly, proactive approach.

Work often overnight in a fast-paced environment, using your initiative to solve problems and learn new store systems. The role rewards reliability, teamwork, and a strong focus on delivering excellent shopping experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or store environment preferred.
• Willingness to work overnight shifts.
• Ability to learn new digital tools used for store operations.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collecting stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages to replenish a variety of items across the store, keeping shelves clean, tidy and full of well-presented products
• Always ready to serve our customers brilliantly when the store is open, supporting with any questions, and proactively offering help
• Date checking fresh produce and grocery products
• Helping across the store as needed and supporting with deliveries as required
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations
