Job summary

Waitrose & Partners is hiring a Supermarket Assistant for Walton Le Dale. You will provide friendly, partner-led service, restock shelves, fulfill online orders, and support the shop team across varied hours including nights.

Contract is temporary, 27.75 hours per week, with night premium of £3.75 per hour for hours 22:00–06:00. 18+ and a passion for food are desirable; DBS checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable effective teamwork and customer service.
• Experience in a customer facing role welcomed.
• Up-to-date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to ensure the support of the whole branch.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - keeping shelves full and in the right place for customers.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery to doors.
• Reducing wastage by following due diligence and sell-by dates.
• Working with the wider shop team including checkout support and Click & Collect.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.
