Job summary

Waitrose, part of John Lewis Partnership, is seeking a Supermarket Assistant in Newark-on-Trent. The role involves varied hours (16 hours per week) across seven days, including nights (21:00–07:00) and a Sunday shift (16:00–00:00).

You will help with shop-keeping, online order fulfilment, and delivering a high level of partner-led service to customers. Applicants must be 18+ and DBS checks may be required during the recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team and with our customers.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and in the right place.
• Fulfilling online orders for drivers to deliver to customers' doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and sell-by dates.
• Support wider shop team including checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
