Job summary

Greggs plc is seeking a Site Services Operative to help keep manufacturing and distribution centres running smoothly. You will support daily hygiene operations, dealing with equipment and chemicals in a food-safe environment, including laundry, tray washing and waste disposal.

You'll work in a chilled/frozen environment, with training provided. The role offers shifts that may include nights and weekends, with paid breaks and a pension plan. This is a temporary contract based in Penrith, UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy factory or warehouse environment intended.
• Knowledge of basic health and safety practices.
• Ability to follow processes and procedures.
• Comfortable standing for long periods, lifting and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day hygiene operations across the site.
• Handle equipment and chemicals in compliance with safety rules.
• Contribute to laundry, tray washing, waste disposal and recycling tasks.
• Maintain both canteen and external site areas in a clean state.
