Job summary

Greggs is seeking a Site Services Operative at our North Lakes site in Penrith to support hygiene operations in a food production environment. You’ll help maintain cleanliness, safety, and efficiency across laundry, tray washing, waste disposal and canteen areas, while working with sensitive equipment and chemicals.

The role involves night shifts (8pm–4am Mon–Thu and 6pm–1am Fri), a 39-hour week, and rewards including discounts, health apps, pension and profit-sharing.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy factory or warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of basic health and safety practices.
• Ability to follow processes and procedures.
• Comfortable standing for long periods, lifting and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Help manage hygiene operations across the site, including laundry, tray washing, waste disposal and canteen area.
• Operate equipment and chemicals in line with food safety and health regulations.
• Work in a chilled/frozen environment and handle flour/dust exposure.
• Receive training and support to develop and progress in the role.
