Job summary

Jasmine Healthcare in Walkeringham, DN10, is seeking a Residential Care Home Senior Care Assistant for permanent night shifts (7pm–7am). The role involves leading shifts, ensuring high care standards, and managing daily meds with accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Relevant Professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ/Diploma minimum level 3 in Health and Social Care).
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a Care Assistant in residential / nursing home setting.
• Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning.
• Ability to reside within 30 minutes of the Home and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Providing the highest possible levels of care in supporting and assisting our residents in all aspects of daily living.
• Promoting independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, alongside promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing and to give input during shift handovers.
• Leading your shift to ensure high standards are maintained, and other members of the team feel supported.
• Completing the daily medication rounds and document consistently without errors or any issues being picked up on the medication audits, ensuring the daily charts are completed to a high standard by all team members on all shifts you’ll be responsible for leading.
• Promoting good practice in all aspects of care, and challenge poor practise from other team member. ensure one to ones for all care and support team members are done every two months and investigate complaints and concerns as directed by the Home Manager.
