Sainsbury’s Limited in Wakefield is seeking a part-time Customer Assistant for night shifts. You will help prepare the store, stock shelves, and move items from the warehouse to the shop floor while keeping areas tidy for customers the next day.

Shifts run in the late evening to early morning, with responsibilities including assisting near-peak hours, operating equipment, and supporting other store duties as needed. Nightshift premium and store benefits apply for eligible hours.

Responsibilities

• Getting the store ready for the day ahead by filling shelves, working at a good steady pace throughout the night and being prepared to work with a variety of product types
• Keeping your workspace tidy for other colleagues and making sure our aisles are clean, presentable and ready for our customers the next day
• Collecting and moving stock safely from the warehouse to the shopfloor, including heavy equipment and containers
• Working across different parts of the store, which could include chilled and frozen areas
• Using equipment, handsets and digital systems to complete your work accurately and safely
• Helping in other areas when needed, which could include picking online orders or serving customers at checkouts once you’re trained and confident
• Taking pride and ownership in your work, including attention to detail and a tidy workspace
