Job summary

Belong Birkdale is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RGN) to cover night shifts in our new village. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care and lead on clinical tasks during the night, ensuring safety, comfort and dignity for older residents.

You will assess, plan and deliver care, coordinate with families and professionals, and uphold NMC standards. This is a 12-hour night role with up to 48 hours per week in a supportive, not-for-profit environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
• Experience in elderly care, nursing, community or health care settings.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead and support colleagues effectively.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective and person-centred nursing care throughout the night.
• Administer and manage medicines in line with professional standards and policies.
• Complete clinical assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
• Monitor customer wellbeing and respond to changes in condition.
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to care colleagues during night shifts.
• Promote dignity, independence, wellbeing and individual choice.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records.
• Work collaboratively with customers, families, healthcare professionals and colleagues.
• Support customers living with dementia with compassion and understanding.
• Contribute to a safe, welcoming and supportive environment.
• Ensure compliance with NMC standards, organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
