Job summary

Aqumen Recruitment is seeking a Machine Relief Inspector for a fixed night shift in Mirfield. You will inspect products, ensure quality and support production machinery to run smoothly.

The role involves carrying out quality checks, signing off paperwork, and operating machinery safely on nights, with additional hours possible. Temp-Perm opportunity with a pension scheme and holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/production environments.
• Quality checks or inspections experience.
• Good mechanical awareness.
• Experience with computerised production equipment or machinery.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Basic maths skills.
• Ability to complete production and quality paperwork accurately.
• Good timekeeping and reliability.
• Ability to work safely and follow procedures.
• Physically fit for manufacturing environments.
• Experience with carding machines, lappers or similar machinery advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular quality inspections during production.
• Check products against specifications and production orders.
• Complete and sign off quality paperwork.
• Open and close production orders correctly.
• Cover Inspector during breaks and as required.
• Operate and check production equipment safely.
• Record quality test results and downtime.
• Identify and report mechanical or quality issues; work with shifts to resolve problems.
• Keep work area clean, safe and organized.
