Job summary

Geary’s Bakeries in Leicestershire is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead and develop a team of operatives in our bakery. You will ensure production targets, quality, and safety are prioritised while supporting colleagues across shifts.

You’ll manage daily plans, report on progress, and intervene in audits or visits. The role requires flexibility in working hours and a hands-on approach in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing, preferably bakery.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to lead and train a team.
• Knowledge of Food Safety and Health & Safety important.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop the production team to ensure quality.
• Adhere to daily production plan and provide shift reports.
• Meet business KPIs.
• Drive a strong Health and Safety culture.
• Provide support and training to colleagues.
• Liaise with labour agencies and feedback on performance.
• Communicate with other departments in the wider business.
• Participate in audits and high-profile visits.
• Deputise for the Shift Operations Manager when required.
