Overview

Night Shift Production Manager – Location: Barnsley | Salary: £60,000 – £65,000

We are looking for an experienced and driven Production Manager (Nights) to lead our Barnsley site night shift operations at Fresh-Pak, part of The Compleat Food Group (TCFG). This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven manufacturing leader to take ownership of performance, people development, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced chilled food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop production teams to deliver the plan efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, embedding the right systems, behaviours, and KPIs.
• Ensure food safety, quality, SHE standards, and audit readiness are always met.
• Collaborate with NPD, Process, and wider teams to ensure successful launches and projects.
• Inspire, coach, and develop your team to reach their potential and achieve targets.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in a large-scale, fast-paced chilled food manufacturing environment.
• Strong track record of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage and influence through KPIs, driving improvements in areas such as OEE, waste, and labour efficiency.
• Working knowledge of food safety, SHE legislation, HACCP, and BRC standards.
• Experience of managing retail customer visits.
• Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and influencing skills.
• IT literacy, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
