Are you looking for a fantastic new opportunity to work with one of the leading businesses in the local area.

A fantastic new position has become available for a Night shift production operative position in the Newbridge area.

This is a full time position with the possibility of going permanent upon successful completion of probation.

This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in hands-on environments and enjoy working as part of a team in a manufacturing and production setting.

Must be a driver and have access to your own transport due to the site location

Drugs and alcohol tests will be administered at interview stage and at random times throughout the year.

Night shift production operative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain heavy machinery.
  • CNC welding and machine operations.
  • Load, unload, and transport raw materials and finished products.
  • Monitor production lines to ensure efficiency and quality control.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of machinery and equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
  • Assist in the melting, casting, and shaping of steel products.
  • Perform physical labour, including lifting heavy materials.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot industrial machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices and hazard prevention.
  • Physical stamina and strength for heavy lifting and long shifts.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and noisy environments.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic math and measurement skills for material calculations.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

Work Conditions:

  • Physically demanding tasks in a steel manufacturing environment.
  • Using/working in and around heavy machinery, and loud noise.
  • Shift work, including nights and weekends, may be required.
