Job summary

Sasse is recruiting for a Full-time PCV Shunter at Heckmondwike Bus Depot for Arriva. The role involves processing vehicles after return, moving buses within the depot and on public roads, and carrying out safety checks.

You will follow health and safety procedures, use digital reporting tools, and deliver courteous service on customer sites. A full UK PCV (D) driving licence is required; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK PCV (D) driving licence is required.
• No formal qualifications are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Process vehicles when returned to the depot, ensuring safe handling.
• Move and manoeuvre buses within the depot and on public roads as directed.
• Carry out visual vehicle checks and report any damage or defects promptly.
• Ensure vehicle windows are closed before entering the bus wash.
• Remove graffiti from exteriors to maintain high presentation standards.
• Adjust mirrors after exiting the bus wash and perform exterior cleaning as needed.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
• Record information using digital reporting tools.
• Carry out banksman duties when trained and authorised.
• Support additional depot duties as a General Service Operative.
• Deliver timely, courteous service on customer sites.
