Job summary

Purflux Filtration Ltd. - Tredegar is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to support production through safe, accurate material movement and inventory control.

You will transfer raw materials from the warehouse, operate forklifts and related equipment, perform stock counts, and ensure PPE is worn and safety rules followed during night shifts (Mon-Thu, 21:15–07:00). Rate: £13.72 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations is preferred.
• Forklift certification is essential; Flexi Truck & Tow Tug certifications are ideal.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for inventory records and material handling.
• Basic math skills for inventory tracking and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Transfer of raw materials and components from the warehouse to the relevant production area, ensuring storage in designated areas and computer transaction for every movement.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock counts, and report discrepancies.
• Operate forklifts and other machinery to load/unload materials and move them to storage areas and production lines.
• Inspect materials for damages and ensure items are in good condition before storage or dispatch.
• Work unsupervised in production and stores areas; interact with all levels of personnel.
• Follow safety protocols to minimize accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
