The Night Shift Manager is a key role responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the night operation in the depot. You will lead teams of supervisors, night loaders, sorters, and drivers in processing parcels delivered from client sites into smaller geographic areas for final delivery. The Night Shift Manager is fully accountable for the shift's performance and proactively seeks ways to improve cost, service, and operational efficiency.

Interested? We are looking for someone who can:

  1. Manage all areas of the night warehouse sortation efficiently and cost-effectively.
  2. Ensure depot key KPI’s are achieved, e.g., sortation compliance, vehicle departure times, etc.
  3. Manage the budget to meet service levels, including productivity, labor costs, overtime, and agency usage.
  4. Lead, coach, and develop the supervisors on shift.
  5. Adhere to the legal requirements of the ‘O’ Licence.

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Transport knowledge, skills, or experience, including regulations.
  • Management experience of leading and managing a team.
  • Ability to work on own initiative in a pressurized environment with tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working in fast-paced logistics.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels.
