Our Night Shift Manager is a key role to ensure the smooth running of the Night operation in the Depot; where you will lead teams of Supervisors, Night Loaders, Sorters, and Drivers in processing parcels delivered from client sites to smaller geographic areas for final delivery. The Night Shift Manager is fully accountable for shift performance, proactively seeking ways to improve cost, service, and operational efficiency.

  1. Manage all areas of the night warehouse sortation efficiently and cost-effectively.
  2. Ensure depot key KPI’s are achieved, e.g., sortation compliance, vehicle departure times.
  3. Manage the budget to meet service levels, including productivity, labour costs, overtime, and agency usage.
  4. Lead, coach, and develop the shift supervisors.
  5. Adhere to the legal requirements of the ‘O’ Licence.

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Transport knowledge, skills, or experience, including regulations.
  • Management experience of leading and managing a team.
  • Ability to work independently in a pressurized environment with tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in fast-paced logistics environments.
  • Good communication skills to liaise at all levels.
