Job summary

Antalis Ltd is seeking a tightly organised Night Shift Manager for its UK head office and Central Distribution Centre in Coalville. The role runs 18:00-02:00, Monday to Friday, and focuses on safe, efficient logistics operations to deliver excellent customer service.

You will plan outbound activities, monitor performance, and drive improvements across the shift while managing a multi-disciplinary team and maintaining strong communication with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a large shift team within a logistics or warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, compliant working environment across the shift.
• Plan and review outbound warehouse activities to meet targets.
• Deliver service levels by monitoring shift performance & implementing improvements.
• Produce regular performance reports for CDC Operations Manager.
• Lead the shift team, manage discipline, attendance and performance.
• Ensure effective communication across RDCs, 3PLs and cross-functional teams.
• Identify and implement process, procedure and system improvements.
• Develop and lead shift training with Training Manager.

About the Role

Antalis is seeking a highly organised and driven Night Shift Manager to join its Logistics Operational Team at the UK head office and Central Distribution Centre in Coalville working 18:00-02:00 Monday- Friday.

As the Night Shift Manager you are responsible for managing logistics operations safely, efficiently, and effectively to deliver excellent service to customers and stake holders- proving the best service possible!

Job Opportunity

• Maintain a safe, compliant working environment throughout the shift in line with legal and Antalis safety standards.
• Plan, organise and review outbound warehouse activities and resources to meet operational and budget targets.
• Deliver agreed service levels by monitoring shift performance, assessing effectiveness and implementing improvements where needed.
• Produce regular and ad hoc performance reports to support the CDC Operations Manager in reviewing and adjusting processes or policy.
• Lead the shift team to achieve targets, managing discipline, attendance and performance in line with company policy.
• Ensure effective communication across RDCs, 3PL partners, internal departments, other CDC shifts and cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
• process, procedure, and system improvement opportunities, recommend solutions and implement changes.
• Assess, develop and lead shift training requirements in partnership with the Training Manager.

Essential Skills

• Exposure to a Trade Union environment.
• Ability to lead and manage a sizeable multi-discipline team.
• Experience in managing budgets, cost control, and financial accounting.
• Competent in the use of Warehouse Management Systems (ideally Manhattan), Business Management Systems, as well as Microsoft Excel & Word.
• Analytical and organised in approach
