Overview

Night Shift Maintenance Engineer. Birmingham, West Midlands. Manufacturing Business. £46,000 - £50,000 per annum + benefits. Shift Pattern: Sunday - Thursday (10:00pm - 6:00am).

A well-known and highly successful manufacturing business based in the centre of Birmingham are searching for an enthusiastic Maintenance Engineer to join their Night Shift Engineering team. Working within a fast paced and dynamic manufacturing environment, this role involves the provision of reactive and planned preventative maintenance on a range of automated machinery.

Coupled with a full induction and training period, this business is looking to support the incoming Maintenance Engineer with additional qualifications. If the engineer has a mechanical bias, electrical qualifications in wiring regulations & PLC's will be provided…equally, if you have an electrical bias, you will be supported with mechanical qualifications. Salary increases will occur once qualifications are ticked off!

This role will suit an Engineer who enjoys working on a permanent night shift pattern!

Role Description
  • Provision of planned and reactive maintenance engineering across a broad range of automated production / process machinery.
  • Mechanical and Electrical Fault Finding and repair activities.
  • Overhauling machinery and installing new equipment when required.
  • PLC Fault Finding.
  • Keeping H&S at the forefront when all work is conducted.
  • Working alongside a cross-sectional team of skilled engineers.
  • Reporting into the Engineering Supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Mechanical or Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineering experience.
  • Level 3 qualified (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
  • Ability to perform both planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work within a collaborative team environment.
