Overview

Night Shift Maintenance Engineer – Location: Brandon, Suffolk. Hours: Night Shift (e.g. 18:00–06:00, Monday to Thurs). Sector: Wellbeing & Bodycare Products. Salary: Competitive basic + Benefits.

Role Overview

As a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer, you'll be the go-to expert for keeping our machines running at peak performance during overnight operations. You'll work independently to diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and ensure our equipment is safe, efficient, and ready for the next day's production.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and reactive maintenance on bottle blowing, filling, and processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults with minimal supervision
  • Carry out repairs and adjustments to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
  • Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and machine performance
  • Take initiative in identifying potential issues before they escalate
  • Make stand-alone decisions when necessary to keep operations running smoothly
  • Collaborate with day shift engineers to ensure seamless handovers
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role, ideally in FMCG or manufacturing
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work independently and make confident decisions under pressure
  • Familiarity with pneumatic systems, PLCs, and automated machinery
